Jaime Nelms

I grew up in Arvada Colorado and moved to Steamboat Springs after graduating high school in 2008. I’ve always enjoyed working with kids, and after years of child-oriented jobs including nannying, ski school, and working as an infant room teacher at Young Tracks Preschool, I graduated from nursing school in May of 2020. Working at Pediatrics of Steamboat has been and continues to be a highlight of my time spent in Steamboat, and I absolutely love the team I get to work with everyday. Aside from my awesome job, my biggest passions in life include caring for my two dogs (Tika and Winston), traveling, snow/wake boarding, camping, dirt biking, hiking, and everything summer!

Kylee Bowman
RN
Kylee joined the Pediatrics team in 2017. She is our primary nurse for Hayden and Craig. She was born and raised in Hayden, and we are lucky to have her!

Amy Curry

I grew up near Albuquerque, New Mexico and studied practical nursing through a nationally recognized program at the Career Enrichment Center during high school. I graduated and became an LPN at age 17, already knowing that I love to work with children. I love dancing and performing, and dancing with the Steamboat Dance Theatre for 5 years now. I also enjoy snowboarding, wake surfing, yoga, hiking, camping, traveling, cooking, singing, and playing bass guitar.

She now lives in Hayden with her husband Forrest and kiddos, Abby and Jacob. She loves meeting all of our families and watching their little ones grow, as well as seeing all of her old friends!

Kelly Borgerding
RN
I was born and raised in the Steamboat community. Before attaining my BSN from Gonzaga University, I participated in a year-long youth exchange through Rotary. I lived in Argentina for a year honing my Spanish skills and becoming bilingual; I am very passionate about languages, traveling, and exploring other cultures. I similarly studied abroad in Spain to complete my Spanish minor. My senior nursing practicum took place in a Pediatric ED and affirmed my desire to pursue a future in pediatrics. I began my nursing career on a step-down ICU in Denver and am very grateful to be back in my hometown and with this practice! Kids light my heart up. Outside of work, I’m typically playing outside in the snow, conquering 14ers or hiking, lifting, being a foodie, or curling up with a good book.

Rachel Murphy
RN
I moved to Steamboat in 1997, when I obtained a job at Routt Memorial Hospital. I started out as a CNA/Unit Secretary, eventually obtaining my Registered Nurse License. I have continued in healthcare throughout the years, ranging from OB, Pain management, Med Surg and currently pediatrics just to name a few. I also met my awesome husband, Ryan, in the boat and have identical twin girls. I enjoy all 4 seasons but my favorite, in Steamboat, is summer. You’ll most often find me out on the trails, hiking or running them, with my fam.
